Server rules

Play fair. Play the story.

Staff enforce the spirit of the rules — not just the loopholes.

Core Conduct

These apply everywhere — in city, Discord, and anywhere you represent 17th Street.

  1. Respect the community

No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or targeted toxicity. Argue scenes in character; settle OOC issues calmly with staff if needed.

  2. No metagaming

Information your character did not learn in-world stays out of RP. Streams, Discord, and third-party chats are not free intel.

  3. No powergaming

Do not force outcomes, invent impossible actions, or deny others a fair chance to respond. Leave room for the story.

  4. Value of life

Treat your character’s life as valuable. Don’t throw yourself into hopeless fights, suicide RP for convenience, or ignore lethal threats without a credible reason.

Roleplay Standard

We expect scenes that feel like stories — not kill queues.

  1. Stay in character

Break character only when necessary. Use /me and clear emotes for actions that matter. Low-effort or meme RP will get redirected.

  2. Fear RP & consequences

Guns, hostages, and numbers matter. Play the fear. Accept losing sometimes — that’s how long-running stories form.

  3. No random deathmatch (RDM)

Combat needs a roleplay reason that started before shots. Ambush is fine when it’s earned by prior conflict or a clear criminal objective.

  4. No vehicle deathmatch (VDM)

Vehicles are not weapons unless the scene clearly supports it (escape, blockade, last resort). Don’t ram for kills.

  5. New life rule

After a legitimate death / EMS revive cycle, your character forgets the events leading directly to that death. Don’t return instantly for revenge.

Crime & Combat

  1. Initiation

Give a clear initiation before violence when the situation allows. Robberies and hostages need communication — not silent spray.

  2. Robbery & hostage quality

Demands should be realistic. Leave victims a path to RP. Don’t hold scenes hostage forever or demand impossible transfers.

  3. Gang & turf conflict

Ongoing beef should be developed through scenes, not sudden wipeouts. Staff may pause or mediate conflicts that go toxic OOC.

  4. Combat logging

Leaving the server mid-scene to avoid arrest, death, or consequences is a hard fail. Reconnect and finish the scene if you disconnect by accident.

Government & Whitelist

  1. Department standards

PD, EMS, DOJ, and other whitelist jobs follow department SOPs on top of server rules. Corruption RP requires approval where noted by leadership.

  2. Cop baiting

Don’t manufacture police scenes solely to farm shootouts. Crime should stand on its own story.

  3. Evidence & MDT

Treat in-game tools seriously. Don’t invent evidence OOC or erase records without an in-character process.

Communication

  1. Discord & voice

Keep OOC voice/chat clean during scenes. Use proper channels for reports, applications, and support.

  2. Streaming & content

Streamers must not use viewer intel as character knowledge. Blur or omit doxxing content; respect others’ privacy preferences.

  3. Reporting

Report with clips, IDs, and context. Don’t witch-hunt in public channels — let staff handle it.

Exploits, Cheats & Fair Play

  1. No cheats or external advantage

Menus, aimbots, macros that automate gameplay, and similar tools are an instant permanent ban.

  2. Bug abuse

If you find an exploit, stop and report it. Farming bugs for money, items, or power is treated as cheating.

  3. Third-party software

Graphics mods that don’t alter gameplay are usually fine. Anything that reveals players through walls, changes hitboxes, or scripts inputs is not.

Staff, Bans & Appeals

  1. Staff decisions

Staff may issue kicks, warns, scene resets, or bans to protect the server. Arguing punishments in public won’t help your case.

  2. Appeals

Use the designated Discord appeal process. Be honest, concise, and own what happened. Alt accounts to evade bans are a permanent ban.

  3. Rule updates

Rules can change as the city grows. Playing on 17th Street means you accept the current posted rules.
